We flew with Austrian with our 8-month-old it went much better than I expected. I was a bit nervous beforehand, but my instinct told me to trust the process and the staff really came through. Check-in was easy, they were kind and helpful with the stroller, and the crew on board stayed patient even when our baby got fussy. The bassinet was ready just like we requested, which was a huge relief. Food was fine too. Overall, it made traveling with an infant feel a lot less stressful than I had imagined.

"Stressful transfer in Vienna"
The transfer in Vienna was way more stressful than it should’ve been. The connection felt way too tight from the start, and the staff were giving us different directions, which just made everything more chaotic. I ended up having to run across the airport, and after all that, my bag still didn’t make it. It kind of felt like they’re happy to sell these tight connections and then leave passengers to deal with the mess if it doesn’t work out. Not a great experience.

"Codeshare got a little confusing"
I booked my trip through austrian, but part of the journey ended up being operated by a partner airline. The flight itself was fine, but before flying I got a bit confused because the check-in details and baggage rules weren’t very clear between the two airlines. When I got to the airport, I had to ask a couple of times just to make sure I was doing everything right. The staff did help me sort it out in the end, so it wasn’t a huge problem, but it definitely felt like the coordination between the airlines could have been better

"Fine flights, but delays were frustrating"
Flew with Austrian a few times. The actual flights were fine. Staff were okay too. No big issues there. But punctuality? Really hit or miss. One flight was delayed almost 2 hours. Another one got cancelled. Not much clear info at the start. Bit stressful, honestly. They did sort it out later, but still. Not great. 3 stars from me.

"Lovely lounge time before my flight"
I had lounge access with Austrian through austrian.com, and it made my time at the airport so much more relaxed and enjoyable. Check-in was easy, the staff in the lounge were really friendly, and everything felt smooth and stress-free.
The food was decent, the coffee was genuinely good, and it was quiet enough for me to catch up on a few emails before boarding. It wasn’t over-the-top fancy, but it was cozy, comfortable, and left me feeling happy I booked it. I’d definitely use it again.

"Really smooth baggage experience"
I flew with Austrian recently and just had a really good feeling about the whole baggage part. My checked bag came out quickly, nothing was damaged, and everything just felt easy. I also asked someone at the baggage desk a quick question and they were genuinely nice about it. Not much more to say, it was just a solid experience

Well... I checked in on austrian.com the evening before my flight, it was smooth. The site loaded quickly, my booking showed up right away, and choosing a seat only took about a minute.
I saved the boarding pass to my phone without any problems. It was nice that everything just worked without confusing steps or random errors popping up.

"Miles & More was actually useful"
I fly Austrian a few times a year, and I wasn’t really expecting the Miles & More perks to make much of a difference, but they kind of did. Lounge access during a long layover was a big help, and one time I got extra baggage added without any hassle. The points also showed up faster than I thought they would. I’m still not sure I’d call it amazing, but it definitely made my trips a bit easier.

I booked my cat in the cabin with Austrian and, it went smoother than I’d built it up in my head. I called ahead just to make sure her pet spot was confirmed, and the person on the phone was really patient with me — no rushing, no making me feel like I was asking too much.
At the airport, they checked her carrier and paperwork quickly, and then... that was basically it. No drama. She stayed tucked under the seat the whole flight, and everything went fine. I’d definitely fly with them again with my cat

"WiFi was honestly better than I thought it’d be"
I flew with Austrian and ended up using the onboard WiFi for a good chunk of the flight, i was kind of surprised. It connected fast, which already felt like a win, and it was totally fine for sending messages, checking emails, and doing a bit of browsing here and there. I kept expecting it to cut out because that’s usually how plane WiFi goes, but it didn’t keep dropping like I’ve had on other flights. Nothing fancy, but it did what I needed, and weirdly it made the flight feel a lot shorter. So yeah, happy with it.

"I’ve flown with austrian a few times..."
I’ve flown with austrian a few times this year, and so far my miles have been credited accurately every time. No missing flight segments, no odd mileage amounts, nothing strange like that. My most recent flight posted after a couple of days, which was perfectly fine. it’s just nice when the basics work and you don’t have to contact support to sort things out. Overall, I’m happy with the experience
